Earth Day Expo - Saturday, April 26th

Join us on April 26 at Fairchild Wheeler Interdistrict Magnet School from 10 AM to 1 PM for a celebration of Earth Day!! There will be opportunities to learn about ways to get involved with environmental action in your community. A series of hands-on workshops for children to learn about "going green" and sustainability will also be featured. Please join us!!

Mayor Finch will be speaking along with Deputy Commissioner Macky McCleary of the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Wil Bullock of City Harvest Youth Corps, and Adrienne Houel of Park City Green. Speakers will highlight the progress made in Bridgeport so far and the benefits of being green.

Please come visit the brand new school to see Bridgeport students and exhibitors from local organizations display their work. There will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for a new vegetable garden on the school campus hosted by Green Village Initiative.

Enter through the 840 Old Town Road entrance. Activities will be held in the main cafeteria space.

It will be a great day to meet people and learn more about how to make a difference in your community!
